If you're a parent, have you noticed just how quickly, easily and accurately your kids copy your behaviour?  From trying your shoes on as a toddler to speech patterns as they get older? Kids learn what's modelled for them and as mine get bigger I am more conscious of modelling the habits and behaviour that I think will benefit them as they grow.

A Family Day Out At Sovereign Hill: 10 on 10 Photography Circle

Hello! It's the 10th of the month so it's time for some photos.

This month I'm sharing our family day out at Sovereign Hill, an outdoor museum that re-creates Ballarat's first ten years after the discovery of gold in 1851.  In the few short and chaotic days before Christmas we hit the pause button, put pre-Christmas obligations on hold and took ourselves back in time to the Gold Rush days of our fair city.  It was a really lovely day out - Sovereign Hill is a special place - and it was just what we needed to reconnect as a family and recharge before Christmas hit us full tilt.

What We Get Up To On The Weekend: Walking the Yarrowee River Trail

What We Get Up To On The Weekend: Walking the Yarrowee River Trail

It's the 10th of the month so it's photo time.  It has been a busy month and I've had camera troubles so I really thought I would miss this round of our wonderful photo circle.  I had nothing prepared until Monday, the Queen's Birthday Holiday. After two cold and miserable days we were in need of an escape from the house so we set off on the third stage of our exploration of the Yarrowee River Trail with coats and hats, a yellow scooter for Mr 3, a football for Mr 6, a bottle of water and a banana each for sustenance.

Happy Mothers Day! I'm starting the day super early with a Sydney Swans footy clinic for Mr 6. He's mad for AFL and a born Sydney supporter. I'm not sure they were thinking about the mums when they decided on an 8.15am start for the clinic in Melbourne, a cool 90 minutes from home for us, but motherhood is all about sacrifice isn't it?  *wink*

Not only is it Mothers Day today here in Australia but it's the 10th of the month and that makes it photo circle day.
